April 28, 2000 Played the Independent Music Festival at the Melody Bar with the Rosenbergs, Elemae, and Clydesdale. We had equipment problems throughout our set which ended with Joel and I smashing our instruments in Who-like fashion. Long live aging dinosaur rock!

May 6, 2000 Got a call from Doug Forbes, organizer of the Independent Music Fest and singer of the band, bobfields. He notified us that we had won a block of eight hours of free recording time at Technical Ecstasy Studios in New Brunswick. Pretty cool but now I am paranoid b/c I never win anything ever. I am expecting to be stricken with leprosy soon or being crushed unexpectedly by a falling 747.

May 15, 2000 We got together to rehearse for the first time since our debacle at the Melody. The Atari monitor that we use is in shambles. Ron sits out most of practice although we do a surprisingly cohesive and impromptu run through of Creedence's "Have You Ever Seen The Rain?"

May 23, 2000 I found a spare Atari monitor in the basement and brought it over to rehearsal. It was only when we took it out that we realized it had no cable. Ron again sits out for most of practice. "Have You Ever Seen The Rain?" sounds even better than last week.

May 24, 2000 I re-written (with much help from Erich Roneree) the entire Atari tone generator program in BASIC for the PC. If you want the source code, go to "Fun Stuff" on the website. Copy the source code at paste it into Notepad or something text editor. Run the program in QBASIC. Learn three chords and form your own New Invisibles cover band. Or better yet, write your own songs and blow us away.
